Real experience

Stopped in from out of town and was pleased with the service. Marinara wasn’t our family’s ‘cup of tea’ but each dish was well prepared and worth the cost. We got a entree salad (delicious), 3 different pasta dishes and a pizza. The pasta dishes came with side salads that were very good. I would have no reservations about returning for another meal and sampling more of the relatively extensive menu.

Muriale’s is an iconic restaurant in the Fairmont area that’s been in business since 1969. Authentic homemade Italian dishes served in an elegant atmosphere. The service staff are friendly and professional. The generous portions will delight the most discerning patrons. The lasagna, ravioli, and bruschetta were delicious. Love the Mountaineer team spirit and Christmas charm on a cold wintery evening!

It was the day before Easter and we were visiting my uncle in Clarksburg, so he recommended we all go to Muriale’s. I’ve been to quite a few Italian restaurants but this one is definitely in my top 2 (only second to Edo Squid in Richmond). I had the rigatoni with Alfredo.

Most restaurants make their Alfredo sauce too salty but this sauce tasted very similar to the kind I make. You could really taste the Parmesan. Their blue cheese dressing was yum! But the star of the dinner was the never ending basket of their homemade bread. We went around 5pm and the place was packed, so definitely make a reservation or arrive early.

I am very happy to say that I went back!! I had ordered the same as last time and let me say I was very pleased. The food was very hot and instead of waiting an hour it was around a 15 minute before the food came to us. The waitress was super kind I did not get her name but she had an accent not sure where from, but she was super kind and had got everything we needed.

I would also like to say that the Italian sausage looked cooked and was not very tough unlike last time, the lasagna was very hot and tasted amazing, the rigatoni was also not tough and very good, and finally the ravioli on the taste of Italy was perfect! I can happily say they redeemed themselves.

So happy we came across this Italian restaurant spontaneously on our road trip in WV. I immediately fell in love with the interior and vibes of the restaurant – so cozy and elegant. Our waitress provided wonderful service and was patient with us. She also gave amazing recommendations!

For food, we ordered brushetta for appetizer, which was so tasty! For entrees, we ordered chicken parmesan and sphaghetti with meatballs, which are both flavorful. Leftover chicken parmesan tasted even better. Then for dessert, we got the almond cream cake (similar to tiramisu), which was a great way to end our meal. All in all, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!
