Kafta Kabob, Falafel Vegetarian Delight, Bulgur Wheat Seriously amazing food. Delicious lentil soup. Tons of vegetarian options. The owner is super sweet and continually thanked us for our business; she even sent us off with some leftover rice pudding from breakfast hours. I will definitely be back!!!

Hands down the best beef shawarma I’ve ever had! I’ve tried shawarma around the world (top places in Middle East, Detroit, San Diego, LA, Toronto, etc…), this is by far the best. You can taste the quality in the meat they use. Owner was very friendly and kept checking up on us on a busy weekend day.
This is an authentic lebanese restaurant serving the real lebanese shawarma. There are many versions of shawarma but in my limited culinary opinion lebanese does the right way. The shawarma also had french fries in it which you will only find in the authentic shawarma wrap. The garlic sauce is to die for and the chicken is juicy and flavorful. This place would definitely win a shawarma competition if there was one

5 star experience. Phenomenal food, some of the best Mediterranean I’ve had. VERY generous portions. The service is so friendly, they really care about their customers and community. The patio is the cherry on top, such a relaxing and nice ambience to sit and catch up with friends. I recently dined here and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The food was truly amazing, and I was particularly impressed by the flavorful meats. The owner proudly mentioned their ranking among the top 100 Mediterranean restaurants in the Midwest, and I wholeheartedly agree that they deserve such recognition.

In my opinion, Cedar Place Restaurant is the best Mediterranean restaurant I’ve tried so far in the Midwest. The delicious flavors and welcoming atmosphere made it a memorable dining experience. Will be back soon for their garlic sauce! Bring cash to avoid the 3.5% credit card fee. Limited Street parking.

Authentic food, well presented. The kafta, beef kebab and chicken taouk, in the combination dinner were delicious; the tastes taking us back to meals eaten in Lebanon The labneh and khubz (flat bread, similar to pita, but thinner) were a delicious appetizer. Top it off with baklava and Arabic coffee – a perfect meal in a simple but cozy environment. The hospitality from the owner and staff were top notch.

This will definitely be a frequented spot going forward! The food did not disappoint… they have Lebanese/Syrian cuisine and the family-owned aspect added a special touch. For just having moved to Chicago, I wanted to find a restaurant that reminded me of home and Cedar Palace did just that. All of the food is amazing and greatly portioned, along with the owners son being incredibly welcoming and charismatic.

The photos speak for themselves- we also got beef and chicken shawarma sandwiches (not pictured). Loved the hospitality, food and vibes. The people were really really friendly. Get in early evening to have your name on the waitlist for patio. I am not sure if I’d find any other Mediterranean restaurant in par with Cedar palace in Chicago

Family run business that is friendly and knowledgeable about its cuisine The food ingredients are fresh and of the four times I have been here, I have yet to be disappointed in their offerings The appetizer tray is fresh and their delicious entrées are served hot I’m already looking forward to my fifth visit
