Phoenician Kabob Restaurant

Setting 4/5. The setting of the Phoenician kabobs remind me of being inside the restaurants of the Midwest–cozy but plainly decorate. Very clean, and enough pizzazz to mix up the atmosphere.

Food was 5/5. You can see by the sultan plate that I received, it was packed full of falafel hummus, baba ganoush, lamb meat, and chicken shawarma.

Fresh appearance with zesty dill dressing and tzatziki. The pita bread in addition made for excellent dipping! For dessert, I received a complimentary slice of Baklava, which was a thoughtful touch on my birthday.

Service 5/5. Our gentleman was versed in most of the menus and served up the food in a well organized way, handing out entrees from how the order was taken. Our other waitress was also nice, making light jokes as we wrapped up.

Had lunch today at the bar. Cute little place. Definitely a good place to have a nice lunch. The waitress was super nice. She helped me to make fun of my husband during our visit. Lol jk. It was all in jest. Had a good time. We really enjoyed it very much. Can’t wait to come back next month when we have our next doctor’s appointment! Def recommend.

Service was good, attentive without being hovering. It felt like they might have been a tiny bit short staffed but we generally weren’t waiting around and staff was friendly and explained dishes. Main courses were very good, decently spiced and plenty generous (we each had one of the combo entrees). Pita was hot and fresh. I got some baklava for dessert and it was surprisingly disappointing.

I have made my own baklava (and it is not easy) and I’ve had it from many other places but this was dead last on any of them. For a Lebanese place I expected great baklava and this was an unfortunate negative surprise. So overall 4 stars.

I LOVE Phoenician Kabob. We have been enjoying their sublime fresh-baked pita and exquisite hummus and baba ghanouj for years. The owner is SO nice and friendly. It feels like you’re going to his house for dinner. Truly excellent lentil soup, chicken shawarma, and did I mention the pita and jibneh? Soooo good! I love the Lebanese wine selection. Plus, I love that you can reserve here.

Such a perfect place to bring a group. I was really honored that they wrote my name out and placed it on the table for my reservation. Honestly, it made my night … along with the superb food and service!

My favorites were the lamb shish kabob and beef shawarma. The saffron shrimp were also to die for! The biggest hit was the garlic dip. It made every dish better. I mean even the rice and pita, simple things, were made wonderfully! Every piece of meat was tender, flavorful, and not overcooked.

Only thing I didn’t care for was the falafel, but I’ve never liked falafel. They use compostable containers which made me happy. Nothing needed to be reheated upon arrival (used GrubHub). It all held really well. I’m full and satisfied. 5 stars for sure.

I ordered the Gyros sandwich from their lunch menu. Honestly, I thought it was a large sandwich to have ordered from the lunch menu. However, I am very thankful. But, I would like to try something else and maybe go to Phoenician Kabob on Friday when they have a belly dance performance.

finally

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile now and finally got the chance. I really enjoyed it as the owner is very friendly and so is his staff. The food is really good too!
